Sure, I’ve read the books. I’ve seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little bluebirds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can’t be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There’s still a yellow brick road – but even that’s crumbling.
What happened? Dorothy.
They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.
My name is Amy Gumm – and I’m the other girl from Kansas.
I’ve been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.
I’ve been trained to fight.
And I have a mission. 

Characters: 
Melinda, Glamora, Mombi, Gert: The way the author portrays each personality uniquely is amazing. Each character builds and shapes into people throughout the book. Most character development doesn’t compare to this. except in A Court of Mist and Fury because ohmygod 

Nox: I honestly still don’t quite understand his intentions but I’m shipping that damn boat because… Just Because!! I love how “tough” and driven he is but he’s also really sweet, his heart bleeds freakin’ GOLD DUST.

Pete: WHO THE HELL ARE YOU, I still have no idea.. but Ayyyyye you seem chill! 😉😂😂

Wizard: You don’t do much do you? Very little page time and lack of explanation?? So…confused.

Dorothy: She’s the definition of a spoiled child. Ri-dic-u-lous! She’s nothing more than a sob story who got a taste of magic and has no self control. sorrynotsorry She’s all *screams* and “ohmygod poor me!” I can’t even count how many times I wanted to slap her because of how she treats everyone.

Glinda: Is such a self righteous b-i-t-c-h. No wonder she’s (plug your ears; I’m gonna scream) “BESTIES” with Dorothy. Can you tell I’m not a fan of stuck up girls, or people for that matter. If you have a chip on your shoulder *and it isn’t doritos* chances are…we can’t be friends.

Astrid & Maids: Well (view spoiler) I feel really bad about how brainwashed and tortured the maids are. They wholeheartedly believe Dorothy is amazing. ARE YOU NAIVE? Yes. Yes, you are.

LASTLY….
Amy: She is a fighter. Whether she likes it or not, it’s in her genes, or… jeans. *Evil laugh* Sorry magic pun things idrk whats happening but pretend it’s normal. Okay? kay. 
What words can I use to specifically say Amy is as badass as it gets;AGAIN, other than Amren from ACOMAF cause lezbehonest here. I LOVE HER, I LOVE HER, I LOVE HER. Y’all don’t even know. In the beginning she’s like meh and then wambam holy ISH she comes out of her little tiny chocolate bunny shell. Tehe. You’ll love her too, promise.

Overall Opinion: 
This is so strange (is that a good enough word? I have no idea.) doing things in reverse but not in specific order. Definitely not your typical read. Dorothy Must Die is wound up and crammed with an exceptional amount of surprises. You never know what’s coming. Everything will be moving slow and then randomly some weird, fierce, creepy crap happens. YOU NEVER SEE IT until it slaps you in the face. HAH.

On a more serious note: Every time I read about broken families it breaks my heart. 💔 (Girl I gotchu, lemme hug you. I know wassup.)

This quote hits so close to home for me because I lived in a trailer for 9 years and people always assumed that defined me. I’m from a small town in the middle of Pennsylvania and that’s all there is to it. A bully will find any reason they can to use words and your life against you. Try to keep your chin up and show them bitches you’re unbreakable. I now live in a big house and make new memories every day. I’m proud of where I’m from, but I don’t let it define who I am. ❤
